Sadamasa Blacksmith
Sadamasa Suwa Machete
The Suwa Nata is a type of hatchet traditionally used in the Suwa region.
It has a slightly different shape compared to regular hatchets. Its uniquely designed large U-shaped curve at the tip not only prevents chipping but also helps pull small branches and stems closer, making it a "remarkable tool with ingenious design."
Today, there are no blacksmiths in the Suwa region actively producing Suwa Nata, making this a rare and valuable piece.
Suwa Nata is generally described by its weight rather than the length of its blade.
