About Sakai Takayuki
What are Aoki Hamono and Sakai Takayuki?
Aoki Hamono was established in 1947. The founder initially worked at a Japanese confectionery store and learned about professional knives used by artisans there. He started a wholesale business that dealt with these knives.
Around 1965, the second generation established the Sakai Takayuki brand named after himself. In 2011, the current third generation took over the company and expanded the distribution of Sakai Takayuki knives domestically and internationally.
They have built a relationship of trust with artisans and convey customer requests to them. As a result, they are able to provide high-quality knives.
