I just received my santoku & I am so very happy. Thank you Master Sukehira & Nodoka. I am touched by your personal note in the box. The santoku is beautifully made. My heart says to just display it. However my head says that this knife contains over 600 years of skill, craftsmanship & tradition. I must honor it by using the knife as intended so it will bring me much joy & happiness. These knives are unbelievably nice. Incredibly sharp and the hand written notes with the package were an added touch. These knives are obviously specifically to order for each client. I really appreciate this kind of attention and craftsmanship. I will be a repeat customer.

I purchased many Japanese kitchen knives but I now realize this is one of the best one I ever purchased. The knife was so beautifully made and the quality of the knife is top top class. It is razor sharp and beautiful like a samurai sword.
I only heard about Master Hirata through on line search and never know how good is his knife but after I received the knife I lost for words and not sure how to describe the beauty and quality of it. It is a Gem.
